Important information for tours – please read

BOOKING:

Select the tour you wish to book. Complete the booking form and pay by credit/debit card through this website. Please book separately for each member of your party. If you are booking the tour less than eight weeks prior to departure the full amount must be paid at time of booking. Unless otherwise stated, all Number One London LLC tour prices are based upon half-board accommodation with two people sharing. There are a limited number of single rooms available for which a single supplement will be charged.

PAYMENTS:

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure your place on any of Number One London LLC’s tours. The due date for final payment of the balance of the cost of each tour is approximately 120 days prior to start of the tour and varies from tour to tour. Please check these dates when making your reservation. Should you prefer, you may pay in full for your tour when making your reservation, or at any time prior to the final payment due date.

TOUR AGREEMENT/CONTRACT:

Your payment of a $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars) deposit and the issuance of a booking confirmation to you by Number One London Tours LLC constitutes a contract and/or agreement. Please read through all documents from Number One London Tours LLC within 14 days (fourteen days) of their receipt and advise of any inaccuracies therein. Acceptance of the documents constitutes your agreement to their terms. No liability will be accepted on behalf of Number One London Tours LLC if we do not hear from you within 14 days (fourteen days).

SINGLE SUPPLEMENT:

All tours are priced at a double occupancy rate. Single traveler supplement costs vary with each tour and are clearly stated. Please specify your preference for Single Supplement when booking any tour.

PASSPORTS/VISAS:

General information concerning passport, visa and health requirements applicable to all Clients will vary between their nationalities and are subject to change. The Client is responsible for checking current requirements before departure. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that he/she complies with all applicable requirements and takes with him/her all documents required for his/her holiday. Number One London Tours LLC will not be liable for any failure by the Client to discharge these responsibilities.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Travel insurance is not optional and must be taken at the time of reserving your tour. UK service providers, including coaching companies, hotels and sightseeing venues require tour participants to be fully insured. Clients who book tours with Number One London Tours LLC must have personal travel insurance to cover such things as cancellations, flight delays, lost baggage, medical problems, illness, accidents and unforeseen events. Number One London Tours LLC will not be responsible for any missed flights or other emergencies. Number One London Tours LLC does not offer any travel insurance or cancellation insurance.

Number One London Tours LLC will not be held responsible for, or liable for, any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any coach company, hotel, restaurant or other provider who provides services to Number One London Tours LLC.

Number One London Tours LLC shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, additional travel expenses, medical expenses and lost baggage) due to delay, cancellation or disruption of any kind caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders or actions of any government, or by acts of God, environmental hazards, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, personal sickness, accidents, quarantine, epidemics, theft or any other cause(s) beyond our control. Number One London Tours LLC will not consider any reservation complete unless and until client provides Number One London Tours LLC with proof of travel insurance.

NOT INCLUDED IN LAND PRICE:

Airfare – Round trip airfare from your home city to the UK is not included in the land only tour price. Air travel is NOT included in the cost of Number One London Tours LLC tours. We recommend that you check airline cancellation penalties before purchasing airline tickets. Number One London Tours LLC does not accept liability for cancellation penalties related to domestic or international airline tickets purchased by you in conjunction with a tour. Each client will pay for their own airfare. Also not included in the land price of our tours are meals other than those listed in “Included Features,” passport fees; transportation to and from airports except as noted on Country House Tour and A Week at the Lake Tour, personal expenses such as laundry; telephone calls; alcoholic beverages/sodas/bottled water other than listed in “Included Features;” optional sightseeing excursions; gratuities to driver and guides.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:

Cancellations for all or any part of the trip will not be effective until received in writing at Number One London Tours LLC. Should you have to cancel the following conditions apply: Cancellation of land portion prior to 8 weeks (eight weeks) before departure, $500 cancellation fee; 8 weeks (eight weeks) or less prior to departure will result in the forfeiture of 100% (one hundred percent) of the tour fee. Number One London Tours LLC does not refund deposits or balance payments, It is a condition of booking with Number One London Tours LLC that you take out insurance to cover any cancellation costs. THESE CANCELLATION POLICIES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED

TOUR CANCELLATION:

Number One London Tours LLC reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond their control. As tours are planned a year in advance, we may occasionally have to make changes to the itinerary, website and other details, both before and after bookings have been confirmed, usually to improve the guest experience or to ensure that the quality of tour can be met by suppliers such as hotels. You will be informed of any significant changes that may occur. Every effort will be made by Number One London Tours LLC to operate tours as planned and as advertised, the itinerary, hotels, tour leaders and staff may be subject to change. Refunds will not be available for changes to the tour, the tour leader or the tour personnel.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Number One London Tours LLC is acting as a mere agent for suppliers, in selling travel-related services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied. Number One London Tours LLC, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on part of such suppliers, which result in any loss, damage, weather, strikes, circumstances beyond its control, force majeure, war, quarantine, criminal activity, expense, accident, sickness, injury or death to person or property, or mechanical defect, failure or negligence of any nature howsoever caused in connection with any accommodations, restaurant, transportation or other services or for any substitution of hotels or of common carrier equipment. If due to weather, flight schedules or other uncontrollable factors you are required to spend an additional night, you will be responsible for your own hotel, transfers and meal costs. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the tour due to these causes or voluntary cancellations.
You waive and release any claim against Number One London Tours LLC for any such loss, damage, injury or death, and by signing the booking form you are confirming such waiver and release as a condition of participating in the tour.

NOTE: IF ANY VENUES CHANGE, A REPLACEMENT WILL BE MADE OF SIMILAR TYPE AND QUALITY.

RATES:

Prices quoted are based on 20 passengers and on fares and exchange rates in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change prior to departure. You will be given a detailed itinerary at the time you book your tour and no refunds will be given for missed meals, excursions or dinners while on a Number One London LLC tour. Please tell us ahead if you are not going to participate in any tour activity.

HEALTH:

Report in writing, when your reservation is made, any physical or mental condition which may require special medical attention (e.g., the need for a wheel chair or special meals).

BAGGAGE LIMITS:

1 suitcase per person in/out of hotels. Airline requirements are applicable on size and weight limitations. Luggage is at owners risk throughout tour unless insured. Baggage and personal effects, including medicines, are at all times your sole responsibility.

HOTELS:

Number One London Tours LLC has chosen to use hotels that offer a combination of history, character, time tested customer satisfaction and luxury appointments. While you will be joining Number One London LLC on a tour, we realize that you will also be vacation and we endeavor to treat you as a favoured guest by offering hotels that feature all the comforts a traveler might want – well appointed rooms, full English Breakfast, free WiFi, first class restaurants, a comfortable bar/lounge and very often spa treatments.

MEALS:

Full English breakfast is included in the tour itineraries. Some dinners or afternoon teas are included, please check the itinerary for the specific tour you will be taking for details. No lunches are included and all beverages are at individual expense.

WALKING REQUIREMENTS:

All tours involve walking and standing during visits to historic sites, stately homes, gardens, museums and battlefields. None of the tours can be considered “strenuous,” but all require a relaxed amount of walking, standing, the ability to board a tour coach and/or climb stairs.

TIPPING POLICY:

Gratuities for coach driver or hotel housekeeping is at your discretion. Suggestion for driver tips are five pounds per day. Tips for meals are included in the price of your tour.

USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS:

Unless you request otherwise, we may use photographs of you on the Number One London Tours website and/or future Number One London Tours brochures. Please ensure that you do not take photographs at sites where they are prohibited (e.g. for copyright or conservation reasons), and that your use of photography does not intrude on the enjoyment of other guests. Please ensure that you have other guests’ permission before publishing any photograph in which they appear.
